International Trade Compliance Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
* Research & Analysis:
Assist in researching and analyzing economic sanctions programs (OFAC, EU, UK sanctions) and export control regulations (EAR, EU Dual-Use Regulations).
Monitor updates from relevant government agencies and international bodies.
Prepare summaries and reports on regulatory changes and their potential impact on operations.
* Due Diligence & Screening:
Support the team in conducting due diligence checks on third parties against denied party lists and sanctions lists.
Assist in reviewing transactions for potential sanctions and export control risks.
* Policy & Procedure Support:
Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Assist in preparing training materials for employees on sanctions and export control compliance.
* Record Keeping & Administration:
Maintain accurate and organized records of compliance activities, screenings, and assessments.
Provide administrative support to the Legal and Compliance teams as needed.
* Ad-hoc Projects:
Participate in various ad-hoc projects related to international trade compliance, as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Law, International Relations, Political Science, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
* A strong interest in international trade, economic sanctions, and export control regulations.
* Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Fluent in English (written and spoken) is essential. French language skills are a plus.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
* Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
