About This Role
We're seeking a talented Textile Designer to join our design team in New York City. Our company creates stylish kitchenware and home textiles, selling worldwide to major retailers and boutique shops.
Job Responsibilities
* Develop original home textile designs from concept to production.
* Collaborate with product development and sales teams, as well as suppliers, to bring concepts to life.
Key Tasks
1. Research current market trends to stay informed about consumer preferences.
2. Create custom designs using expertise in textile constructions.
3. Design presentations and concept imagery that effectively showcase designs.
4. Build and release textile specifications for production.
5. Partner with suppliers to source materials and ensure timely delivery.
6. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales and product development.
7. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Textile Design or a related field.
* 3–5 years' experience in home textiles, with a strong understanding of textile constructions.
* Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
* Familiarity with repeats, textile CADs, and production-ready files.
* Exceptional eye for color and detail.
* Highly organized, able to multitask, and deadline-driven.
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
