The Firewall Analyst is responsible for managing firewall change requests and ensuring compliance with security policies. The role focuses on the change management process, leveraging Algo Sec Security Suite to analyze, optimize, and implement firewall rules. The candidate will also contribute to network security operations, supporting firewall policies across a large‐scale infrastructure and ensuring secure access and data protection.You will champion a security‐first culture, participate in initiatives that protect client platforms and data, reduce risk exposure, strengthen defenses, and continuously improve the client's overall security posture.ResponsibilitiesOperational Tasks (80%):Manage firewall change requests using Algo Sec Security SuiteAnalyze and understand firewall policies to ensure compliance and optimizationPlan and implement firewall rule changes, including NAT and security rulesManage firewall policies across 150+ firewallsSupport and troubleshoot firewall policies and related issuesMonitor and manage logs for on‐premises and cloud environmentsProject‐Based Tasks (20%):Automate firewall rule cleaning and recertification using Algo Sec Security Suite APIOptimize naming conventions and improve firewall policy management processesUtilize Algo Sec App Viz for enhanced application visibility and reportingMerge Check Point databases and optimize firewall naming conventionsQualificationsDegree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related disciplines5 to 10 years of experience in firewall management and change management processesStrong knowledge of Algo Sec Security Suite, including App Viz and API functionalities.
