This role requires strong leadership skills combined with a solid understanding of modern engineering platforms, including Kubernetes and containerised environments.As a part of your job, you will:Lead, coach and develop cross‐functional engineering teams, fostering a culture of trust, ownership and continuous improvement.Partner closely with Product, Design and other stakeholders to translate business objectives into clear and achievable delivery plans.Ensure predictable, high‐quality delivery while balancing speed, reliability and long‐term technical health.Support and guide technical decision‐making in cloud‐native and container‐based systems.Ensure teams follow strong engineering practices around quality, security, observability and reliability.Remove delivery impediments, manage dependencies and proactively address risks.Contribute to the evolution of engineering standards, delivery practices and ways of working across the organisation.What are we looking for?Proven experience as an Engineering Manager, Tech Lead or similar leadership role.Strong background in software engineering, with hands‐on experience earlier in your career.Solid knowledge of containerisation and orchestration, including Docker or equivalent container technologies.Kubernetes, with practical understanding of deployments, services, scaling, configuration and health checks.Ability to reason about systems running in Kubernetes, including deployment and rollout strategies, scalability, resilience and availability concerns, observability, logging and basic troubleshooting.Experience leading teams in building and operating cloud‐native applications.Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their integration with container‐based delivery.Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, feedback and performance management.Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non‐technical stakeholders.Nice to haveExperience working closely with Platform, Dev Ops or SRE teams.Exposure to public cloud providers (AWS, Azure or GCP).Experience in product‐led or platform organisations.Interest in engineering enablement, delivery excellence or AI‐assisted development.Personal traitsAbility to adapt to different contexts, teams, and Clients.Teamwork skills but also a sense of autonomy.Motivation for international projects and ok if travel is included.Willingness to collaborate with other players.Strong communication skills.At Celfocus, we are committed to cultivate a diverse and inclusive workplace.
