The Head of Human Resources will lead and oversee all HR functions across the organization, acting as a strategic partner to senior leadership while ensuring operational excellence in day-to-day HR activities. This role requires a hands-on HR generalist with experience across the full employee lifecycle in an IT or technology-driven environment.
Description
Strategic Leadership
Act as a trusted advisor to the executive team on people strategy, organizational design, and workforce planning
Align HR strategies with business objectives and company culture
Lead change management initiatives during periods of growth, transformation, or restructuring
HR Operations & Generalist Management
Oversee all core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation & benefits, employee relations, learning & development, and offboarding
Ensure HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks are up to date, compliant, and consistently applied
Manage HR systems, data accuracy, and reporting
Talent Acquisition & Development
Define and execute effective recruitment strategies for technical and non-technical roles
Support leadership in identifying, developing, and retaining key talent
Design and implement training and development programs, including leadership development and succession planning
Employee Relations & Culture
Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-engagement workplace culture
Handle complex employee relations matters with discretion and professionalism
Ensure effective communication between management and employees
Compensation, Benefits & Performance
Develop and manage competitive compensation and benefits frameworks aligned with the IT market
Oversee performance management cycles, goal-setting, and evaluation processes
Support managers in performance improvement and career development discussions
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure full compliance with labour laws, data protection regulations, and internal governance standards
Manage HR risks and support audits where required
Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards across all HR activities
Profile
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred);
8-12 years of progressive HR experience, with significant generalist exposure;
Proven experience in a leadership or head-of-function HR role;
Experience in an IT, technology, or fast-growing organization strongly preferred;
Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and HR systems;
Strategic mindset with strong operational execution capability;
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills;
High emotional intelligence and sound judgment and ability to balance business needs with employee advocacy.
