Lotus Bakeries in Portugal is part of Lotus Bakeries Sales Office Spain & Portugal team and it began operating directly in the country in June 2024. Previously we worked with a distributor. Since our change, our growth has exceeded our best expectations positioning Biscoff cookies in a very solid rotation position within the market in 2025. We have a strong focus on the Retail channel.

We are currently looking for a Key Account Manager to manage multiple accounts with a focus in the Retail channel.
This role is strategic for the development of our business in Portugal and also requires administrative and analytical support to other clients and to the Sales Manager Portugal.

1. Independently manage a portfolio of different retail and traditional clients (supermarkets, hypermarkets, convenience).
2. Develop the business across different categories, with a primary focus on our international flagship brand Biscoff (Biscuits and Sweet Spreads).
3. Collaborate with Country Manager Spain & Portugal and Sales Manager Portugal periodically to review internal KPIs and status of commercial strategy execution and development in your clients.
4. Collaborate closely with the Sales Manager Portugal to define channel and customer strategies.
5. Collaborate with Sales Manager Portugal to build the best selling-stores for the brand in Portugal, based on local opportunities or other countries best practices as Spain, UK, France, Germany etc.
6. Gather and analyze customer insights to build strong, constructive relationships, to increase listings and in-store visibility.
7. Work actively with external sales representatives to ensure excellent in-store execution.
8. Provide administrative support to business support functions such as Customer Service, Logistics, and Credit & Collection.
9. Support other top national clients in terms of operations and administration, even if they are not part of your direct portfolio, contributing to the overall success of the team.

Key Result Areas

10. Develop annual top customer plans aligned with brand and channel strategies, in collaboration with the Sales Manager Portugal
11. Manage customer relationships at all levels, both commercial and non-commercial.
12. Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations that implement customer business plans.
13. Create accurate volume and spending forecasts and update them throughout the year.
14. Negotiate pricing, assortment, and promotions within Lotus commercial guidelines to maximize sustainable sales and profit.
15. Analyze sales data and monitor promotional activities to generate actionable category insights.
16. Ensure excellent execution for the customers under your responsibility.
17. Master's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or related fields.
18. We value prior knowledge or experience in areas such as Category Management, Revenue Management, and Field Execution.
19. Fluent in English and Spanish.
20. Strong customer network and relationship-building skills.
21. Solid knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
22. Hunter and entrepreneur profile bringing enthusiasm and energy to build top brands in FMCG.
23. High stress tolerance and ability to manage multiple tasks in a very small team.
24. Results-oriented mindset with a "go the extra mile" attitude.
25. Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously and prioritize key business battles.
26. Strong analytical skills and financial understanding.
27. Understanding the quote "Retail = Detail", meaning that excellent execution is key.
28. Strategic influencing skills, both internally and externally.
