Protecting Sensitive Information
This position involves working with a team to assess and mitigate security risks, develop and implement security policies and procedures, and monitor and investigate security incidents.

Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities within the organization's systems.
2. Develop and implement effective policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate identified risks.
3. Monitor security events and thoroughly investigate any potential or confirmed incidents.
4. Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and ensure the organization is prepared to defend against them.
5. Educate employees on best practices for information security.
6. Collaborate with other teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the organization's operations.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years experience in information security. They must have strong knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 27001/27002, NIST, or CIS Controls.
* Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and techniques.
* Knowledge of encryption methods, firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems.
* Familiarity with biometric passport technology is a plus.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
Location: This position is based in Braga, Portugal, but remote work may be considered for exceptional candidates.
