Job Opportunity: Automation Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team in Europe. As a key member of our production network, you will be responsible for designing, integrating, and optimizing automation systems that boost productivity, reduce manual labor, and ensure consistent product quality.
You will work closely with plant management, maintenance, engineering, and lean teams to identify automation opportunities, manage and implement improvement projects, and provide expert support across multiple sites. Your role will involve collaborating with international teams, sharing best practices, and supporting group-wide initiatives.
* Design, implement, and oversee automation and control systems.
* Deploy and maintain sensors, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure smooth daily operations.
* Collaborate closely with plant managers, technical teams, and the wider business unit to standardize automation solutions.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
* 3-5 years of experience in production automation or industrial controls, preferably in the food industry or high-volume manufacturing.
* Proficient in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens), SCADA systems, and industrial sensor integration.
* Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills in live production environments.
