Job Description
The NPO Technical Manager is responsible for management of all the NPO technical management activities defined in Customer contract in terms of quality, risk and time from delivery approach preparation through deployment, customer acceptance and care phase. Acts as primary NPO technical interface and first technical escalation point within the Customer project.
This is expected to be a JG 9-10 position. Full job levelling assessment will be undertaken by Nokia, and final position grades will be confirmed in due time.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
Act as the primary NPO technical interface and first escalation point for customer projects.
Lead and coordinate all NPO technical activities from planning to acceptance and operations.
Ensure quality, risk management, and on-time delivery of contractual commitments.
Collaborate with Project Managers, Solution Managers, and technical teams to secure smooth execution.
Perform technical risk analysis, propose mitigation actions, and ensure delivery handover.
Manage and guide radio network optimization teams on KPIs such as stability, throughput, coverage, and latency.
Conduct performance analysis, drive test evaluations, and network audits using Nokia NPO tools.
Define and monitor network performance criteria from an end-user perspective.
Build strong customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and identifying new business opportunities.
Drive team performance to validate and obtain customer acceptance for clusters and end-to-end network solutions.
Key Skills And Experience
You have:
Engineering/Telecommunications degree.
5+ years of proven radio network performance and optimization experience, e2e delivering to an external end-customer.
3+ years of technical project management in the NPO area or team leading with customer interface role, and/or solution consulting for radio network technologies on NPO area.
Strong knowledge of Nokia parameters and protocols in all Radio technologies (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G).
Good knowledge of Nokia NPO tools and processes.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Team leadership ability and team working skills.
Fluency in English
It would be nice if you also had:
A second European language is a plus (German, French, Spanish, Portuguese)
Experience in other areas of Nokia portfolio.
