Barsan Global Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Customs Broker Assistant to support customs clearance operations and ensure smooth coordination of import and export processes.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining compliance with customs regulations while providing excellent service to customers and operational teams.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in preparing and processing import and export customs documentationSupport customs clearance procedures in compliance with Portuguese customs regulations and international trade requirementsCommunicate with customers, customs authorities, and internal departments regarding shipment status and documentationMonitor and track customs declarations to ensure timely clearance of shipmentsMaintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is completed correctlyCoordinate with transport, warehouse, and operations teams to support smooth logistics processesAssist in resolving customs-related issues and delays efficientlyStay updated on customs procedures, tariff classifications, and regulatory changesProvide administrative and operational support to the customs brokerage teamQualifications & SkillsPrevious experience in customs brokerageKnowledge of UK customs procedures and import/export documentation is an advantageStrong organisational skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasksGood problem-solving and analytical skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office applications and logistics software systemsBachelor's degree or relevant qualification in Logistics, Business, or a related field is preferredLocation: R.
