Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Quality Control and Reliability Teams ensure product and/or product components comply with specifications and quality standards. They test and inspect products against performance and integrity criteria to ensure product quality and reliability, and to determine the suitability of product release.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Lead quality improvements projects inside the Industrial Business Unit.
* Responsible for Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) for the entire value chain of the Industrial Business Unit.
* Analyze CoPQ across all areas: Plants, Warehouses, and distribution centers.
* Lead root cause analysis of CoPQ with multidisciplinary teams, propose corrective actions, and measure effectiveness.
* Utilize problem-solving tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Ishikawa, 5 Whys, IS/IS NOT during investigations.
* Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to reduce CoPQ.
* Lead CoPQ harmonization projects: data collection, reporting, analysis, and development of procedures and guidelines.
* Train and guide manufacturing plants and distribution centers on initiatives.
* Share progress updates periodically.
* Conduct audits to verify implementation and follow up on action plans.
* Benchmark with other TE Business Units and the market for new quality improvement initiatives.
* Support quality improvement projects and lead Kaizen events.
Candidate Background:
* Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or Industrial Engineering.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, such as: Continuous Improvement Specialist, Customer/Manufacturing Quality Specialist.
* Proven experience with SAP and project management.
* Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
* Proficiency with problem-solving tools & methodologies: 8D, Ishikawa, 5 Why’s, IS/IS NOT, Kaizen.
* Fluent in written and spoken English.
* Basic knowledge in Finance and Supply Chain fields.
* Team player, results-oriented, problem solver.
