Quality, Environment and Safety Systems Responsible (m/f) - Safety Technician Level VI
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable QES System Responsible to lead, develop, and maintain our Quality, Environmental, and Safety Management Systems in accordance with industry standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in driving compliance, continuous improvement, and sustainability initiatives across our operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and maintain the organization's ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certifications and compliance.
2. Lead internal and external audits; coordinate responses to findings and ensure effective corrective/preventive actions.
3. Ensure compliance with applicable legal, customer-specific, and corporate requirements.
4. Comply with legislation and all applicable requirements in terms of Environment and Safety issues.
5. Develop, implement, and continuously improve QESMS policies, procedures, and documentation.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product quality, environmental performance, and occupational health and safety.
7. Monitor KPIs related to quality, environmental impact, and safety; report performance and lead improvement initiatives.
8. Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analyses; drive mitigation plans.
9. Act as security delegate.
10. Establish, maintain and continuously improve the level of preparedness and response to emergency situations.
11. Support training and awareness campaigns related to quality, environmental, and safety standards.
12. Stay current with regulatory and industry trends, ensuring proactive compliance and best practices.
13. Participate in corporate sustainability projects and life cycle assessments.
Qualifications & Skills
14. Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health or related field.
15. Safety Technician Level VI (mandatory).
16. Proven experience (3–5+ years) in a similar QES or EHS role within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
17. Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
18. Knowledge of energy management legislation and standards (ISO 50001) (preferred).
19. CCP Certified Trainer.
20. Portuguese and English is mandatory, spoken and written, for multinational environments.
21. Experience with customer audits, third-party certification bodies, and regulatory inspections.
