Your new Role
The Network Engineer will focus on the implementation and deployment of network infrastructure for organizations (Havi's customers).
This person will play a critical role in ensuring that organizations have reliable, secure, and high-performing networks to support their communication and connectivity needs.
As a Network Engineer you will be focusing on executing network deployment projects efficiently while adhering to design specifications and industry best practices.
You will be responsible for:
* Network Planning » Collaborate with key stakeholders, including network architects and engineers, to understand technical requirements and strategic objectives. Contribute to network design discussions by providing expert insights on deployment feasibility and best‐practice implementation;
* Equipment Configuration » Configure a wide range of network devices (such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points) in line with approved design specifications. Responsibilities include assigning IP addresses, configuring routing protocols, applying security policies, and ensuring all connectivity parameters are correctly implemented;
* Physical Deployment » Carry out on‐site installation and physical connection of network equipment within data centers, server rooms, and network cabinets. Ensure correct cabling standards, power provisioning, and cooling conditions to maximize equipment performance and reliability;
* Network Testing and Validation » Conduct comprehensive testing and validation procedures to confirm that the deployed infrastructure meets connectivity and performance requirements. Use professional network testing tools to assess latency, throughput, bandwidth, and other critical performance metrics;
* Troubleshooting and Incident Resolution » Identify, diagnose, and resolve network deployment issues or service interruptions. Work collaboratively with network engineers, system administrators, and vendors to address configuration errors, connectivity problems, and performance degradation;
* Documentation and Reporting » Maintain precise and up‐to‐date documentation covering network configurations, deployment procedures, and technical diagrams. Prepare clear and structured reports detailing progress, identified issues, and implemented resolutions;
* Cross‐Functional Collaboration » Engage with cross‐functional teams (including project managers, engineers, administrators, and third‐party vendors) to ensure seamless coordination throughout deployment activities. Support project planning, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication;
* Change Management » Comply with organisational change management processes to ensure all network changes are implemented safely and effectively. Coordinate with change management teams to schedule deployments in a way that minimises operational impact;
* Knowledge Transfer and Training » Deliver knowledge transfer sessions and technical training to support teams and end‐users. Develop user guides, training materials, and operational documentation to ensure successful adoption of new network solutions;
* Continuous Learning and Industry Awareness » Stay informed on the latest networking technologies, standards, and best practices. Continuously develop technical expertise to enhance deployment quality and remain aligned with evolving industry trends;
* Technology Deployment Project Management » Manage end‐to‐end deployment projects related to new technologies or infrastructure workstreams within broader business initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.
What you will need to be succeed
To succeed as a Network Engineer you will need:
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience in IT Operations;
* Certifications in CCNP, CCIE and PCNSE (would be a plus);
* +5 years of experience working in the field;
* Experience working with Cisco Networking technologies (Cisco ISE and Cisco DNA Center);
* Experience with Cloud infrastructure and services (would be a plus);
* Expertise managing Palo Alto Firewalls and Meraki WiFi (would be a plus);
* Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices (would be a plus);
* Strong understanding of Network protocols, routing, and switching;
* Strong knowledge about WAN and SDWAN architectures ;
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
* Excellent communication skills – Fluency in English.
