In this role, you will be the financial backbone of the group, owning the integrity of our accounts, driving compliance across all entities, and acting as a key strategic partner to the CFO. You will lead and manage the Senior Accountant and work cross‐functionally to ensure the group operates with rigour and financial clarity.What You'll DoAccounting & Financial ReportingOwn the month‐end and year‐end close process across all 8 group entities, ensuring accuracy and timelinessPrepare and review consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS and applicable local GAAPPrepare consolidated financial reporting, working with the FP&A ManagerLead the consolidation review processOwn intercompany accounting and eliminations across the groupOversee external audit preparation and manage the relationship with auditorsCompliance & TaxCoordinate tax and VAT compliance monthly for each international entity, liaising with local advisors and authoritiesMonitor regulatory changes across jurisdictions and ensure the group remains fully compliantContribute finance‐side sections to external accreditation, regulatory, and lender reporting (e.g., WASC, lender financial covenants)Treasury, Banking & PaymentsServe as final approver for payment batches when appropriate, ensuring proper documentation, segregation of duties, and audit‐ready evidenceSupport cash flow forecasting jointly with the FP&A Manager (Controller owns historical and short‐term operational; FP&A Manager owns forward‐looking projections)Controls & ProcessEnsure robust internal controls are in place and documented across all entitiesOwn the financial controls framework across the group, balancing preventive controls in payment execution with detective controlsDrive continuous improvement of accounting processes, systems and controlsLeadership & Cross‐Functional PartnershipLead and develop the Senior Accountant, reviewing work for accuracy and quality while ensuring consistent, high‐quality output across the accounting team, including Accounting Assistants.Act as the finance point of contact for any finance‐related topic across the organisation, ensuring the group remains compliant at all llaborate closely with the product and development team to support the build‐out of the platform, providing financial input, validating transactional flows, and ensuring financial architecture is scalable and compliant.Partner with leadership on the exploration and confirmation of new revenue streams, modelling financial viability, assessing regulatory implications, and structuring the accounting treatment for new business lines.You'll Be Valued ForFluent in EnglishBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field is a plus7+ years of accounting or finance experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or senior finance roleCPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional certification, fully qualifiedStrong experience managing multi‐entity, multi‐currency accounting in an international groupDeep knowledge of VAT, tax compliance, and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictionsExperience with consolidated reporting and intercompany eliminationsProficient with cloud‐based accounting systems (Xero is a plus)Proven leadership ability, experience managing or mentoring finance team membersStrategic mindset with excellent analytical and communication skillsHighly organised, autonomous, and comfortable in a fast‐paced, remote‐first environmentExperience in a scale‐up or international startup is a strong advantageWho You'll Work WithYou'll report directly to Tyler, our CFO, who brings deep experience scaling finance functions in global, remote‐first companies.
