Position:
We are seeking a Financial Controller to support the financial strategy and accounting operations of Blossom Portugal.
This role will report to the CFO and manage an Accounting Assistant while working closely with senior management, external stakeholders, and cross-functional departments to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and insightful reporting.
Key Responsabilities:
Lead thefinancial operationsin Portugal, ensuring accurate and timely reporting (AP/AR, general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries).
Overseemonthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including group consolidation and financial reporting.
Serve as the primary point of contact forexternal audits, ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
Ensure full compliance withlocal Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), tax legislation, and regulatory frameworks, in collaboration with tax advisors and relevant authorities.
Drive and maintaininternal controls, process improvements, and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Providefinancial insights and strategic supportfor investment, fundraising, and commercial decision-making.
MonitorKPIs, performance metrics, and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Manage and enhance financialsystems and tools, including ERP platforms (e.g., Business Central, Navision).
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degreein Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum of5 years of relevant experiencein financial accounting and/or financial management.
Certified Accountant(registered with the Ordem dos Contabilistas Certificados).
Strong finance knowledge and analytical skills, with a focus onfinancial accounting best practices.
Fullproficiency in English and Portuguese(written and spoken).
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly inExcel.
Experience working withERP systems, especiallyBusiness CentralorNavision.

Typical working hours are Monday through Friday, between8:00/9:00 a.m. and 5:00/6:00 p.m.(subject to change).
