Job Overview
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in working with AWS services, including AWS Glue, S3, Lake Formation, and Athena.
Key Responsibilities
* AWS Glue: The successful candidate will be responsible for utilizing AWS Glue for ETL operations, including creating Glue Catalogs, managing Glue Jobs, and implementing Glue Crawlers.
* AWS S3: They will be expected to leverage their knowledge of AWS S3 for data storage and retrieval, including managing S3 buckets, transferring data, and implementing security features.
* AWS Lake Formation: Experience with AWS Lake Formation is essential, as the candidate will need to create, secure, and manage data lakes, including designing data lake architecture and implementing security policies.
* AWS Athena: The successful candidate will be able to utilize AWS Athena for data querying, including writing basic SQL queries and optimizing them for performance.
* Data Modelling: Skills in designing and implementing data models for specific use cases are crucial.
* Security: A basic understanding of AWS security best practices is necessary, including IAM roles, security groups, and encryption.
* Performance Tuning: Skills in optimizing the performance of AWS services for specific use cases are highly valued.
* Troubleshooting: The ability to identify and resolve issues related to AWS services is essential.
* Communication: Excellent communication skills are required, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members.
* Project Management: The successful candidate will be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
