Business Intelligence Analyst
We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundational understanding of data analysis principles and be able to apply technical skills in Python, SQL, and business intelligence tools to extract insights that drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Data Extraction & Transformation: Write and optimize SQL queries to extract data from various databases and reporting systems.
* Data Analysis & Modeling: Use Python libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) to clean, transform, and analyze large datasets, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies.
* Reporting & Visualization: Develop, maintain, and automate dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
* Insight Generation: Support senior analysts by conducting deep-dive analyses on business problems, translating data into actionable insights and recommendations.
* Data Quality: Assist in monitoring data quality and integrity, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of reports and analyses.
* Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation for data sources, logic, and reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline.
* SQL Proficiency: Solid understanding of relational databases and demonstrable skill in writing complex SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation (e.g., joins, aggregations, window functions).
* Python Programming: Foundational knowledge of Python and its application in data analysis, including experience with core libraries like Pandas and NumPy. Experience with visualization libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn) is a plus.
* BI Tool Experience: Hands-on experience creating dashboards and reports using at least one major business intelligence tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Google Looker/Data Studio).
* Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical findings to a general audience.
