The Program
Assistance and Advisory Service (AAS)
The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) is NATO's principal C3 capability deliverer and CIS service provider.
To provide these critical services, in the modern evolving dynamic environment, the NCI Agency needs to build and maintain a high-performance engaged workforce.
Job Description
Prepare, maintain and deliver theoretical and practical training on all TOPFAS applications, including interoperability training, at NCI Academy or at customers' location in mobile training teams.
Support the TOPFAS Section Head in planning and coordination of TOPFAS iterations and ensure business continuity for the TOPFAS Section.
Support other courses with TOPFAS related lessons, if required.
Prepare the training environment, including coordinating the preparation for trainings at customers' location.
Develop and apply suitable training delivery methods for classroom, remote, online and blended learning.
Produce the required visual, audio-visual or multimedia aids including teaching notes and handouts.
Apply Academy Quality Assurance Policies.
Contribute to Course Control Documentation in accordance with SAT procedures.
Participate in relevant training events (courses, seminars, conferences) to maintain the required level of competence and knowledge.
Engage, advise and contribute towards Training Needs Analysis for future TOPFAS Systems and Services.
During times of low delivery throughput/course development work, instructors will support other organisational entities in the Agency with their subject matter expertise, as managed by the section and funded by the receiving entity.
Deputize for higher-grade staff, if required.
The incumbent may be required to perform similar duties within the organisation at the same grade, with or without contract changes.
Essential Skills and Experience
* At least 2 years of professional experience in delivering training to adult learners and a proven ability to convey knowledge effectively.
* Advanced knowledge of word processing and graphics presentation tools.
* Working knowledge of spreadsheets, e-mail clients, and web browsers.
* Knowledge of modern education technologies (e.g., electronic whiteboards, training videos), including Learning Management Systems (LMS) and authoring tools.
* Professional knowledge of the current NATO Comprehensive Operations Planning Directive (COPD).
* Recent professional experience working with TOPFAS.
* Qualification in some TOPFAS applications: SAT, OPT, or CAT.
* Qualified TOPFAS Trainer for OPT, SAT, or CAT (NCIA Course 0285, 0286, 0287).
* Qualified TOPFAS Functional Manager (NCIA Course 0288).
* Experience with the Basic Data requirements of TOPFAS and NATO Operations Planning Doctrine and Policy.
* Experience working in international environments with military and civilian elements.
* Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organisation, including ACO and ACT.
Education
* Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from a recognized university, with 2 years of post-related experience.
