We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator who is willing to relocate to join our Client's team in Braine L'Alleud, Belgium.

Eligibility:
Candidate must have resided in Portugal for at least the past 5 years.
Portuguese citizenship is mandatory.
Candidate must be prepared to obtain EU security clearance upon accepting the job offer (with Hexa coordination).
Key Responsibilities:
Support and lead database migrations from on-premise to cloud environments (primarily Azure).
Maintain and evolve advanced database architectures, ensuring High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) readiness.
Administer and secure Microsoft SQL Server environments both on-prem and in the cloud.
Design and implement backup and recovery strategies across platforms.
Apply security best practices to protect database assets.
Automate database tasks using PowerShell, CI/CD pipelines, and related tools.
Manage installation, configuration, and maintenance of database products.
Oversee the lifecycle and roadmap of supported database technologies.
Design and develop:
Tools for automating DBA tasks
Dynamic and standard reports
Automation policies for database management systems
Provide support for cross-technology environments, with basic understanding of Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
Leverage advanced architectures like clustering and virtual infrastructure for system resilience.
Technical Requirements:
Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database and cloud database automation.
Strong background in Microsoft SQL Server (on-prem and cloud).
Proven experience with HA/DR solutions (clustering, failover, etc.).
Experience in cloud migrations (on-prem to Azure).
Proficient in Microsoft reporting technologies, such as:
Power BI
SSRS
SSIS
Experience with Grafana, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with multi-database environments (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Skills & Competencies:
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Focused on automation and operational efficiency.
Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset.
Fluent in English (spoken and written); knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus.
Education & Experience:
University degree in IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Over 10 years of proven experience in a similar senior role.
