About the Role
We are looking for an outstanding Solutions Engineer to join our team of superheroes. You will have the opportunity to be the customer interface of an exciting new technology. You will work closely with the enterprise sales team presenting ThousandEyes in prospective business opportunities; be instrumental in working with prospects during trials and highlight business value; educate prospects, customers and the sales team at ThousandEyes and how it applies to industry trends and business initiatives; and accelerate ThousandEyes growth through expanding market awareness of ThousandEyes and closing business.
What You'll Do
1. Support the technical sales process
2. Assist sales in technical prospecting to help uncover opportunities
3. Demonstrate solution to showcase capabilities and use-cases
4. Build and maintain a technical and trusted advisor relationship with customers
5. Support customers during solution trials
6. Scope and architect solution deployments
7. Present to decision makers during trial wrap-up meetings
8. Participate as a member of the Solutions Engineering teams
9. Participate on weekly team meetings
10. Participate in quarter business review sales meetings
11. Present technical topics and successful wins
12. Share technical challenges and ways to overcome
13. Interact with team to ask questions, share experiences, and exchange ideas
14. Help establish and enhance demonstration material showcasing the solution
15. Research technical topics impacting the industry to grow as an industry leader
16. Interface with Marketing
17. Support trade shows and networking events
18. Support ThousandEyes Connect events
19. Contribute to blog and social media posts
20. Suggest and contribute to white-papers and case-studies
21. Interface with Product Management and Engineering
22. Provide solution feedback from hands-on use and customer interaction
23. Provide solution suggestions and enhancements to drive solution strategy
24. Participate, drive and provide feedback on internal and external solution beta programs
25. Interface with Customer Success
26. Coordinate with Customer Success in providing post-sales support (training, deployment, support, etc.)
27. Encourage and guide customers to utilize Customer Success as an extension of their NOC to help ensure success
Qualifications
28. 3-5 years of Solutions Engineering Experience
29. Excellent presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills
30. Strong understanding of application and network protocols (e.g., HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, BGP)
31. Knowledge of application and network infrastructures
32. Knowledge of unified communications
33. Experience with application and network performance analysis solutions
34. Experience with packet analysis of network and application protocols
35. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, Javascript)
36. Experience with Apple, Linux and Microsoft operating systems
37. Fluent in English, French would be a bonus
38. Travel required as applicable
