About the Role:
Join Siemens Mobility for a dynamic role in our growing software engineering team. As a leader in sustainable transportation, we innovate solutions that revolutionize the public transportation industry.
You will conceptualize, develop, and implement high-quality software modules for our leading client-server capacity planning and timetabling system. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver innovative solutions that meet project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conceptualize, develop, and implement high-quality software modules for our leading client-server capacity planning and timetabling system, revolutionizing the public transportation industry.
* Improve existing software modules, implement new tests, and collaborate on bug-fixing to ensure performance and reliability.
* Write clean, scalable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver innovative solutions that meet project requirements.
* Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and provide constructive feedback to team members.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to ensure the stability and performance of the software.
* Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the software development process.
Your Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with professional experience in C++ development (preferably C++11 or later).
* Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software testing/debugging methodologies.
* Experience with multi-threading, concurrency, and developing high-performance software.
* Proficiency in using version control systems (e.g., Git) and familiarity with Agile development methodologies to promote iterative development and collaboration.
* Experience with Qt6 and Docker is a plus.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Willingness to work with different programming languages is preferred.
* Fluent in written and spoken English.
