We are looking for a highly-skilled & experienced Hardware Developer with a focus on Electronics and PCBA design to join our talented team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and testing of our products, with expertise in both hardware development and manufacturing processes. Your mission will involve planning, designing, and testing the most reliable products to fulfill Smartex's mission.
1. Lead the electrical design for various projects and products.
2. Produce detailed schematics for PCBAs with proper annotation and documentation.
3. eCAD for PCBAs and layout design for power systems, analog & digital electronics, high-speed signaling, and routing.
4. Test & validate sub-systems, circuits, and components using various prototyping and testing techniques.
5. Simulate electrical sub-systems & circuits using LTSpice.
6. Write detailed engineering and technical documentation covering system requirements, design assumptions, validation procedures, and testing protocols.
7. Execute validation tests, reliability/certification, and regression testing to meet product specifications and AQL.
8. Draft detailed test reports/analysis with recommendations for future improvements.
9. Participate in architecture sessions for upcoming projects & products.
10. Build ICT & FCT test jigs for PCBAs and sub-assemblies.
11. Design actively for assembly, manufacturing, and testing during different development phases.
12. Develop small firmware and software services to support electrical development.
13. Require 7+ years of experience in hardware development of embedded electronics products.
14. Proven experience in analog electronics.
15. Proven experience in hardware product certification, especially IEC norms.
16. Proven experience with Kicad and LTSpice.
17. Experience with Linux Systems (Ubuntu/Debian) and Device Trees for embedded systems.
18. Knowledge of embedded software & firmware Bash, C/C++, and Python is advantageous.
19. Understanding of the hardware development lifecycle.
20. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & Portuguese.
21. Ability to learn quickly, adapt to new technologies, and work in a fast-paced environment.
