Senior Java Software Engineer
Retail Consult is a leading technology solutions provider for the retail industry, with a growing team of over 300 people based in multiple countries.
We are currently seeking a skilled Java software engineer to join our Delivery team in Porto, Portugal. This individual will be responsible for implementing solutions in world-wide reference companies, working on cutting-edge projects, and collaborating with passionate professionals in an international environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications using Java
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify project requirements and translate them into technical specifications
* Develop unit test plans, scripts, and test harnesses to ensure software quality
* Implement software solutions that meet business needs and deliver results efficiently
Requirements:
* A minimum of 3 years of experience developing software solutions using Java in a professional setting
* Knowledge of Web Services (SOAP, REST, JSON) is considered an advantage
* Experience with Oracle Xstore Suite or other Point-of-Sale (POS) systems is a plus
* Previous experience implementing solutions in the retail sector is highly valued
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and understand business processes and technical specification documents
* Demonstrated ability to work independently within a team-oriented and collaborative environment
* Proficiency in English, both written and spoken is mandatory
* A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
