We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable and reliable data pipelines for cleaning, integrating, and transforming large datasets.

Your Responsibilities:

* Design, build, and optimize scalable and reliable data pipelines for cleaning, integrating, and transforming large datasets;
">
* Develop and maintain robust data processing infrastructure to support analysts and data scientists with high-quality, trusted data;
">
* B uid analytics capabilities using Azure cloud services such as Data Factory, Databricks, and Datalake Storage;
">
* Develop dimensional data models and maintain data warehousing solutions to support reporting and analytical workloads;
">
* Write efficient, maintainable, and well-tested Python and SQL code for large-scale data operations;
">
* Optimize PySpark code and SQL queries with a deep understanding of Apache Spark internals to ensure high performance;
">
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including data analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders—to understand requirements and deliver data-driven solutions;
">
* E nsure data governance, monitor data quality, and implement best practices in data management and engineering;
">
* S upport the deployment and monitoring of machine learning pipelines and data solutions in production environments.

Requirements:
">
">
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
">
* 4+ years of hands-on experience in software or data engineering, with a strong track record in building and maintaining data pipelines;
">
* Solid grounding in software engineering best practices such as OOP, TDD, CI/CD, and version control (Git);
">
* Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation tasks;
">
* Strong hands-on experience with PySpark, including the ability to optimize queries and understand Spark internals;
">
* Expertise in Azure services such as Databricks, Data Factory, DevOps, and Datalake Storage;
">
* P roven experience in dimensional data modeling and data warehousing principles;
">
* Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker for containerization of data applications;
">
* E xperience with Google Analytics data is a plus;
">
* Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data problems and propose practical solutions;
">
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
">
* Proficiency in English (at least B2 level);
">
* R esidency in Portugal (with citizenship or Work authorization – mandatory).
">
