ROLE SUMMARY:
King's College School Cascais (KCS Cascais) is Portugal's leading premium international school, delivering a world-class academic experience for students aged 1 to 18. Opened in 2022, it is part of the prestigious King's College group, which has been educating students for over 50 years, with a reputation for academic excellence, innovation, and leadership.
The school is housed on a €70 million+ purpose-built campus, which will be fully completed by June 2025. These state-of-the-art facilities set a new benchmark for modern education in Portugal, featuring:

To join our team, we are looking for a well-qualified and talented Nurse who is passionate about student care, health education, and creating a safe school environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide healthcare to students in case of injury or acute illness.
- Develop health plans for students with chronic illnesses and disabilities.
- Support the enrollment process by helping to keep track of students' vaccination records and health records.
- Update students' medical histories.
- Educate students and staff on healthy habits by promoting educational sessions (such as basic life support, first aid, survival skills, puberty, diabetes, etc.).
- Detect health problems within the school community.
- Ensure the school environment is safe for children and staff (e.g., prevention of communicable diseases).
- Write referrals for pediatricians and other health specialists and maintain regular contact with guardians.
- Manage school accident insurance: initiate processes with school assistants and follow up as needed.
- Assist staff in cases of illness or work accidents and follow up with the insurance policy.
- Communicate with companies, such as FEMEDICA, to follow up on the DAE program and arrange certified health sessions (e.g., basic life support, first aid).
- Assist in major sports events.
- Keep daily notes updated for all students seeking help.
- Manage nurse supplies and ensure sufficient stock.
- Coordinate with HR to promote workplace medical visits (medical consultations and blood tests).
- Ensure compliance with national and local health laws and initiatives (such as free oral care).
