ABOUT THE BRAND

VAVA is a premium and luxury eyewear brand. Since 2014, the brand has been synonymous with excellence, innovation, design and precision.

VAVA glasses have a sophisticated and contemporaneous look. The unisex philosophy is naturally affiliated to the DNA of the brand.

VAVA leitmotif is to offer a high-quality product which embodies the experience, knowledge and art of the great masters of handmade eyewear. VAVA seeks to foster a dialogue between crafts and high tech, using the most advanced technologies.

VAVA is distributed in design eyewear boutiques (focused in independent eyewear labels) and luxury department / concept stores over 55 countries.


THE ROLE

VAVA is looking for an exceptional graphic designer to join the brand and marketing team. You will report to the Creative Director and support in the creation of graphic concepts across all the VAVA projects.

The ideal candidate will be a multidisciplinary designer working in a collaborative environment. They will participate in the creation and production of visual content and elevate visual identity for VAVA's digital, social, and retail communication channels - encompassing website, email, social, collection books, look-books and off-site marketing etc. The graphic designer will elevate the brand voice, creative storytelling, and expression across all brand marketing and define the visual identity of the brand

KEY ROLES

Execute the final graphic designs for our marketing campaigns and handle daily corporate and retail projects

Partner cross-functionally each season with brand strategy, merchandising, design, visual merchandising, and store operations to help develop compelling content strategies and programs in-line with the brand vision

Preparation and coordination of basic layouts & templates for print advertising, newsletter, web design of new pages and/or features on the site

Creation of print data as well as development of implementation approaches for digital channels (Onsite desktop + mobile layouts, social posts and ads, display banners)

Elaboration, correction, cross checking and release of seasonal above/below-the-line projects with our agencies and suppliers

Preparation of layout concepts and design guidelines for the implementation of 360 marketing campaigns in different online and offline channels

Basic movie editing skills: creation of cut downs and format adaptations, text integration, gif creation and execution of small animations

Design of social media assets with a focus on the brand social networks, Instagram, and Facebook (organic and paid).

Visualize the seasonal social content plan (focus on Instagram), working with the Marketing team to ensure strong storytelling and alignment with the marketing calendar

Assist in creating, distributing and management of seasonal campaign assets across all global organic and paid social channels

Optimize all content for social/digital across pre-and post-production (e.g., briefing a campaign videographer, right through to cropping and editing third party content)

Collaborate with eCommerce and Marketing teams to create high-quality content across other priority owned and paid channels such as newsletters, advertising, website etc.

Design assets for a variety of marketing, PR, and business needs such as lookbooks, invitations, press packs and other brand materials and internal presentations.

Adaptation and variation of campaigns for urban advertising display (billboards, street posters, in-store, etc.)

Support Creative Director across content shoots, video shoots and e-commercial shoots. Plan edits for video content

Oversee the image editing process, including retouching, and resizing with speed and accuracy

Organize photo data base.

Packaging creation

Help to develop the clear, innovative, and well-defined style and aesthetic of VAVA,

Self-manage creative outputs for day-to-day duties, and responsible for project timelines and prioritizing workload

REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelor's degree in graphic/communication design, art direction or a related field is preferred

Relevant work experience in graphic/communication design in a similar role either in-house or at an communication agency, and/or within a luxury brand

A standout portfolio with examples of multi-channel advertising campaigns, producing shoots & videos including print, social, digital etc.

Strong knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, FinalCut/Premiere Pro

Knowledge of tools such as VectorWorks, Cinema 4D, Figma etc. is a very strong plus

Ability to understand design concepts and think conceptually towards the greater brand vision and meet commercial objectives

Strong command of digital design, typography, and color scheme

Elevated eye for design, layout, and ability to adhere to brand guidelines

Strong understanding of UX/UI best practices - Front end development skills a plus

Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills, deadline-driven

Good verbal, visual and written communication skills (English is mandatory)

The ability to design packaging and store installation is a plus

Ability to concept design solutions with limited direction

Highly creative & innovative

Creative mindset with proven knowledge of current trends and the luxury fashion industry

Great organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously

Fluent in English written and spoken, this will be tested in the interview process

Understanding of VAVA aesthetic

Previous experience in similar positions for at least 2 years

English language - fluent


BONUS POINTS :

Experience working in the eyewear industry or high fashion;

Experience working in communication agencies and/or PR agencies;

Fluency in a second language - German, Spanish and / or French ideal;

Demonstrate sensibility for contemporary art and design;

Demonstrates social responsibility, highly sensitive to sustainability, great sense of ethics;

Experience in social and / or environment action projects.

Experience Developing motion graphics for web and social media campaigns

Experience Developing 3D motion
