We are looking for - Finance Trainee - USA (m/f/d) Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Finance Assistant Trainee to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing financial and administrative support to our accounting and finance staff for the 4 companies of Pestana Hotel Group in USA (2 hotels in NYC, 1 in Miami and 1 Shared ServicesCompany). The ideal candidate would have a previous hands-on finance experience or formal finance education, strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and a passion for hospitality. The candidate should have excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines and be able to effectively collaborate with other departments and stakeholders. Responsibilities: - Classify and ensure the accuracy and completeness of invoices in a timely manner;
- Ensure that all invoices for purchased services and products are posted in the correct month;
- Work closely with vendors/suppliers and internal departments to resolve payment issues (along with the Treasury department in Lisbon, Portugal) or missing invoices (along with the Accounts Payable department in Lisbon, Portugal);
- Reconcile and/or analyze vendor balances;
- Provide all the necessary information to the Accounts Payable department to create new suppliers'master data and update data from current ones;
- Review Accounts Payables' ageing and ensure all vendors are paid on time;
- Place purchaseordersas requested by all the Operations Departments of all hotel units;
- Obtain quotes for newpurchases;
- Analyze purchasing documents on a monthly basis;
- Post petty cash expenses Requirements - Experience in accounting or finance (mandatory);
- Proficiency inEnglish (mandatory);
- Proficiency inusing Microsoft Excel tools (mandatory);
- Prior experience withSAP (preferencial);
- Good understanding ofbasic accounting principles;
- Self-motivatedand detail oriented;
- Ability to work in a multifunctional space;
- Availability to travel to U.S.A;
- Availability to work in U.S.A time (not mandatory);
