In this role, your main responsibilities will include:Strategic Leadership & CoordinationEnsure the implementation of the corporate purchasing strategy at the country level.Propose and structure a country-level purchasing organization aligned with corporate strategy.Define and coordinate the Annual Purchasing Action Plan (GCRD - Global Cost Reduction Driver).
Organize and lead country-wide meetings to monitor frame contract deployment and savings initiatives.Escalate constraints and blocking points to relevant stakeholders.Performance ManagementGuarantee supplier performance in terms of QCDI.Develop long-term relationships with strategic suppliers.Monitor and report on purchasing performance through dashboards and KPIs.Ensure sustainability of purchasing actions and continuous improvement.Operational ExcellenceSupport plant buyers in managing strategic and local suppliers.Negotiate prices, establish contracts, and ensure supplier compliance.Identify families under and outside frame contracts and define action plans accordingly.Implement transversal contracts where applicable.Team Development & ComplianceDefine necessary resources to deploy the purchasing strategy effectively.Provide training and development opportunities for the purchasing team.Promote best practices and ensure compliance with Hutchinson and TotalEnergies directives.Commit to E-learning programs during onboarding and integration phases.Risk & Process ManagementEvaluate supplier risks including financial health, responsiveness, and supply chain capabilities.Manage disputes and price variations in coordination with Commodity Buyers.Analyze inefficiencies in purchasing processes and recommend improvements.Participate in occupational risk assessments and ensure safety compliance.Sustainability & HSEEnsure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.Promote Energy conservation and Environnemental protection policies.Report hazardous situations and anomalies related to energy performance.Control working conditions and compliance within the subordinate area.Your ProfileYou hold a higher education degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering.You have a minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in purchasing management, ideally acquired within an international industrial environment.You demonstrate strong mastery of negotiation techniques, purchasing tools, and market solutions (e-procurement, e-sourcing, outsourcing, etc.).
A solid understanding of business operations, economic constraints, and organizational structures is expected.Experience in project management and a good grasp of information systems contribute to optimizing purchasing performance.Analytical thinking, synthesis skills, and strategic vision are key assets.Open-mindedness, strong interpersonal skills, and effective communication are highly valued.You are target-oriented and capable of working effectively in a team.A fluent level of English (C1 - written and spoken) is mandatory for this position.Your rigor, initiative, and organizational skills will be key to your success in this role.
