Recently integrated into a leading multinational group in its sector of activity, we design, manufacture, install, and maintain smoke extraction, ventilation, and natural lighting systems.To support our growth and strengthen our financial governance, we are looking for aFinancial Controllerto join our team and work closely with the local Managing Director and the Regional Finance Director.Your RoleAs Financial Controller, you will play a key role infinancial reporting, cost control, and operational performance monitoring. Acting as a business partner to the local management team, you will ensure the reliability of financial data while supporting decision-making and improving financial processes in line with Group standards.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial controlling & reporting Delivermonthly management reporting(P&L, balance sheet, KPIs) in line with Group standards and deadlines. Providevariance analyses vs. budget, forecast, and prior year, with clear explanations of performance drivers. Monitor and challengecost structuresincluding materials, labor, and overhead. Budgeting & forecasting Lead theannual budgeting processand periodicrolling forecastsin coordination with the Regional Finance Director and local Managing Director. Cost accounting & production environment Improveproduction cost visibilityand support theselection and implementation of a production software solution. Establish and maintaincosting methodologiesincluding standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation. Inventory & fixed assets Overseeinventory governance, including cycle counts, annual physical inventory, and provisions for slow-moving or obsolete stock. Implement and maintain thefixed asset register in Primavera, ensuring proper capitalization and depreciation. Capex & insurance governance SupportCapex investment processesthrough business case preparation and ROI analysis. Oversee thesite insurance portfolioin coordination with external brokers. Compliance & coordination Coordinate with theexternal accountantfor VAT, corporate tax, statutory accounts, and external reporting. Ensure compliance withGroup internal controls and financial procedures, and support audits when required.Required skills & experience: 5 years in controlling/finance roles, ideally in manufacturing/industrial environments. Demonstrated capability in budgeting, forecasting, and performance management. Strong understanding of cost accounting (standard/actual costing, absorption, variances, WIP/inventory valuation). Proven track record of delivering under deadlines in demanding, changing environments. Experience with ERP systems; Primavera experience isa strong advantage. Experience leading finance workstreams in systems/projects (process design, testing, training, go-live support). Advanced Excel (pivot tables,, reconciliation discipline). Ability to structure data and build clear, decision-ready dashboards/analyses. Language: Portuguese: mandatory (fluent) and English: strong working proficiency (written and spoken)—role requires regular interaction with non-Portuguese speakers.
