The Senior Consultant / Manager will work on a range of regulatory projects within the FSRM team, using technical knowledge and client-facing experience to support prestigious clients in the financial services sector (Banking and Capital Markets, Asset Management and Insurance), contributing to strategic and operational changes within their businesses.
Description
Provide risk management services to financial institutions, ensuring efficient and high-quality delivery
Support the definition of governance models, policies, processes and procedures in line with regulatory requirements
Support the implementation of regulatory frameworks and guidelines
Develop Probability of Default (PD) and Loss Given Default (LGD) models
Develop stress testing models to support capital planning
Support performance monitoring and model validation
Perform data analysis using SQL, SAS and other analytical tools
Present analysis and recommendations to Credit Risk Management
Contribute to impairment model analysis
Participate in regulatory risk assessments and prudential framework reviews
Identify risk exposures and improvement opportunities, ensuring alignment with clients' risk appetite and policies
Escalate relevant risk issues when required
Support team management and mentor junior team members
Identify opportunities to further support clients and develop the FSRM practice
Profile
Degree in Management, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or similar;
At least 3-4 years of experience in risk management analysis and projects, mainly in banking sector. Background in consulting environment is really valued;
Knowledge of local and international banking regulations impacting risk models and rating systems;
Experience in the development or validation of statistical risk models, including IRB, IFRS 9 provisioning and stress testing;
Experience with PD, LGD and EAD modelling or validation, and strong understanding of risk model development techniques and industry practices;
Proficiency in SAS, SQL, R, VBA or other programming languages;
Ability to work in multicultural environments with strong communication skills in Portuguese and English.
