Using primarily an SAP platform, the Competence Center ensures Continental's Sales, Logistics and Central Functions organizations stay on the leading edge of all things digital.
From managing service requests to developing the latest solutions and systems, we are the tech foundation of these organizations.
About the Role As an EDI/B2B Developer, you will play a key role in designing, configuring, and maintaining secure and reliable electronic data interchange (EDI) and B2B integrations.
You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless data exchange and support critical business processes, while ensuring compliance with internal rules, standards and governance.
Main Tasks: Develop and maintain EDI/B2B communication solutions, including mapping, configuration, and scripting; Configure connectivity with external partners and internal systems using protocols such as SFTP, OFTP2, AS2, HTTPS, SOAP, and RESTful APIs; Collaborate with business and IT teams to gather requirements, evaluate technologies, and deliver effective solutions; Provide daily support for EDI applications, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents promptly to minimize business disruption; Participate in system upgrades and projects, ensuring compliance with business requirements.
Qualifications Required Experience: Academic degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field; Multiple years of IT or industry experience, ideally as a developer; 3+ years of EDI development experience in an international environment; Strong experience in EDI mapping and translation for standards such as EDIFACT, ANSI, VDA, and formats like XML, JSON, CSV; Technical expertise in B2B integration and security protocols (SSL/TLS, OAuth 2.0, JWT) across multiple communication methods; Understanding business processes related to Order-to-Cash, purchasing, and logistics; Self-managing, team player, good communication skills, quality oriented; Proficient in English language (written and spoken).
Preferred experience: Experience with Linux OS commands and scripting; Familiarity with API platforms, JavaScript, Python, or similar programming languages; Knowledge of authentication and authorization methods (SSL/TLS encryption, OAuth 2.0, JWT); Basic understanding of SAP transactions related to Order-to-Cash processes.
