About Critical Ventures
Critical Ventures backs those who build—not just founders seeking exits, but visionaries who see the world as it could be and act without waiting for permission. We invest in entrepreneurs at the edge of science and engineering often before others see their vision. Our focus is on deep-tech founders tackling AI, cybersecurity, mobility, defence tech, medical tech, automation, and more.
We're not a traditional VC. We're builders too. Since 1998, Critical Software has forged an ecosystem of startups, spin-offs, entrepreneurs, engineers, researchers, and global partners and now Critical Ventures became the hub of that ecosystem operating as an ecosystem fund with multiple and independent LPs, not a CVC.
This background helps founders move faster and smarter, with fewer bruises. We offer more than capital: hands-on experience, strategic support, and a momentum-driven community. We're in early, stay close, and show up.
Our mission is simple: empower bold innovators tackling meaningful challenges at the edge of science and engineering. We believe the best way to change the world is to build a better and safer world—and we're here to help the boldest builders do exactly that.
