The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in ETL/ELT pipelines, with proficiency in Python, SQL, and cloud data platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure). Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, NiFi, or similar is highly desirable. Additionally, familiarity with financial data handling and core analytics needs is essential.
We are looking for a talented individual who can collaborate with analysts and product managers to translate business rules into reusable data workflows. The ability to optimize performance, quality, and cost of pipelines across cloud platforms is crucial. Furthermore, ensuring data governance, security, and compliance in financial environments is mandatory.
* Required Qualifications:
* 5+ years in data engineering roles focused on ETL/ELT pipelines
* Strong Python and SQL programming skills
* Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
* Hands-on with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, NiFi, or similar)
* Familiarity with financial data handling and core analytics needs (e.g., scoring, segmentation)
* Excellent communication skills in Agile teams
* Experience in banking or fintech domains (credit data, transactions, payment systems)
* Fluent in English (both written and verbal) (mandatory)
* The candidate must be living in Portugal (mandatory)
* Preferred Qualifications:
* Familiarity with data observability, test automation, and documentation practices
* Exposure to AI/LLM-based projects is a plus but not required
* Ability to support tenant SaaS platforms or data productization
