JoomPulse is an AI analytics tool for Mercado Livre sellers, providing insights into the most profitable products and fastest-growing categories - helping sellers boost their profits with data-driven decisions.


JoomPulse is one of the key businesses of Joom Group, an international tech-centric group of e-commerce companies that was founded in 2016 in Latvia. Joom Group also includes the following businesses: Joom, a global cross-border marketplace; JoomPro, the first and only end-to-end cross-border B2B marketplace; and Onfy, a pharmaceutical marketplace in Germany. Joom Group has offices in Latvia, China, Germany, and Brazil, with its headquarters in Lisbon, Portugal. We work as one international team, sharing knowledge and collaborating across countries, businesses, and products.


We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join our international legal team and provide legal support for the JoomPulse business.


Responsibilities

* Implement the company's privacy risk strategy
* Procure inputs from stakeholders on business activities
* Assess risks and their conformity to approved risk appetites
* Document decisions and their periodic review
* Serve as the primary point of contact for all legal matters related to JoomPulse, handling all relevant legal inquiries and issues
* Lead the AI transformation of the team


Requirements

* 3+ years of relevant experience in a top law firm and/or a b2c product firm, ideally with IT at its core
* Core competences in Privacy (CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT are always a plus) and Brazilian contract law
* Curiosity and drive for AI application
* Project management skills, ability to dissect complex tasks into steps, determine stakeholders, and necessary inputs and outputs
* Drafting skills (contracts, RoPA, DPIA, etc.)
* Fluent (C1+) English and Portuguese
* Ability to find the right tools and people to accomplish tasks


Preferred

* Experience with e-commerce/marketplaces
