Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Web Designer who can take ownership of design solutions end to end, from initial concept through to final implementation, across mobile, tablet, and desktop. This is a hands-on role focused on designing and delivering high quality digital experiences that hold up in real environments. You will be expected to lead design execution across UX, UI, motion, and brand, ensuring that work is not only visually strong but usable, performant, and fully realised in build.
You will be expected to operate with a high level of accountability, working across design quality, brand integrity, and technical feasibility, and ensuring that ideas translate cleanly into production.
Core Responsibilities
Web Design and UX/UI
Own design solutions end-to-end, from concept through to delivery in production
Design intuitive and visually compelling UX/UI solutions for websites and digital products
Create responsive, mobile first designs across mobile, tablet, and desktop
Translate briefs and requirements into clear, well-reasoned design solutions
Produce wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
Design and prototype micro interactions, transitions, and animations that enhance usability and clarity
Design, build, and maintain UI components and scalable design systems
Support website builds, redesigns, and ongoing optimisation work
Ensure consistency with brand guidelines across all digital touchpoints
Maintain and evolve design systems and UI components over time
Ensure high standards of design quality, usability, and consistency across all projects
Iterate designs based on feedback, performance data, and user behaviour insights
Brand and Visual Systems
Translate brand strategy into distinctive digital design systems and experiences
Develop brand systems, logos, and brand identities where required
Apply strong typographic, layout, and visual hierarchy principles to create cohesive, high-quality work
Define and maintain visual direction across projects, ensuring brand integrity
Ensure alignment between brand identity and UX/UI execution
Present and justify design decisions with confidence, considering brand, user experience, and commercial implications
Technical and Delivery
Design within CMS constraints, including platforms such as WordPress
Collaborate closely with developers to ensure precise implementation of designs, interactions, and motion, maintaining fidelity between design intent and final build
Take responsibility for how design translates into production, ensuring that animation, interaction, and layout behave as intended
Assist in domain configuration and DNS management for website and campaign launches
Apply and verify DNS records including A, CNAME, MX, and TXT as part of deployment workflows
Work cross functionally to ensure correct setup of domains, SSL, and hosting
Design with awareness of web performance, SEO, accessibility standards, and modern best practices
Tools and Platforms
Advanced experience of Figma, particularly prototyping and interaction design
Familiarity with Framer and modern no code tools
Experience designing within CMS environments such as WordPress
Exposure to React based environments is beneficial
About You
Proven experience as a Web Designer or UX/UI Designer
Strong understanding of UX principles, accessibility, and inclusive design
Fluent in both Portuguese and English
Experience designing cross device experiences using a mobile first approach
Strong visual design skills with excellent attention to detail
Ability to balance usability, performance, and aesthetics in real world builds
Comfortable working in a fast paced, delivery focused environment
Confident operating across design, brand, and technical considerations
Nice to Have
Strong motion and interaction design capability for web
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience working closely with developers in production environments
Understanding of web performance and SEO principles
