At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.The Operations Manager is responsible of leading the full scope of his/her responsibility in the Operations environment as well as to ensure the implementation and execution of TE EMEA Auto's strategy. Actively drives implementation of TE Auto's standards, using TEOA & Lean Manufacturing concepts. Her/his operations related decisions are closely aligned with all other functions, manages plant operations / Value Stream Managers and ensures compliance with all relevant policies, is responsible for meeting production schedules, shipping, maintaining, quality, controlling manufacturing costs, implementing continuous improvement and promoting good employee and community relations.Your Main TasksDirects the proper utilisation and maintenance of machinery and tooling including the scheduling of preventive maintenance and repairs in accordance with production commitments. Recommends additions to operations responsibility, new equipment, tools and machineryEnsures that operation budgets are established by departments, changing amounts if necessary and submitting them for approval. Maintains conformance to budgetary limitations in all production departmentsIs responsible to ensure that production is properly scheduled and allocated, and that personnel, equipment and materials are adequate to meet budget, schedule and delivery datesManage the team by objectives based on strong KPIs setting and drives down TEOA mindset to the complete value stream to bring plant to the next level of transformationStrong analytical and strategic mindsetImplement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.Maintains and develops quality policies to ensure customer satisfaction to drive the continues reduction of Complaints and COPQProvides strong leadership to Department Managers in order to ensure benchmark performanceDirects through supervision, the activities of all personnel, establishes overall objectives so that schedules can be met and harmonised through proper coordination of various functions under his/her competence.Selects, trains and develops associates for key positions. Ensures that supervisors know their scope of responsibilities and delegates authority for adequate responsibilities.Establish standards of performance for employees supervised in line with company practices and professional standards. Ensure that plant safety rules are followedAdministers company policies concerning hiring, layoffs, discipline, transfers, promotions, etc.Determines the organisational structure and continues to develop the organizational structureImplements effective communication techniques to keep associates informed on quality, production, profitability, safety, and environmental and personal development goals.Drive and develop LEAN culture and process to eliminate / reduce waste according to lean manufacturing systemP&L responsibility, including cost, productivity, and profitabilityOversee operations, including manufacturing, production control, materials planning, maintenance, warehousing, logistics, quality, EH&S, and finance supportSupport sales, inventory, and operations planning (SIOP) processes and establish supply, capacity, and resource plans to meet customer and business requirementsSupport cross-functional coordination and collaboration within the plant.Lead transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, delivery, and marginsEnsure execution of projects, transitions, or transfers according to agreed scope, timelines, and budgetsSupport and execute the local operations strategy, aligned with global operations strategy and business growth objectivesMaintain a comprehensive operational roadmap in collaboration with cross functional and global partners (e.g. Operational Excellence, Digital, Manufacturing Strategy, Procurement, Logistics, and Centers of Excellence)Champion safety, compliance, and quality standards, fostering a culture of accountability and engagementYour Ideal ProfileB.S. or Master's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or related field8+ years' management experience8+ years of professional experience, Automotive is an advantage but not a mustProven accomplishments utilizing OpEx and Lean tools/methodologies (Six Sigma BB, Tool Champion, DOE, GR&R, FMEA, PDCA etc.) is an advantageProven accomplishment in business development is a plusStrong strategical and tactical thinking and problem-solving attitudeAdequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)Excellent team builder, with great leadership, interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to form successful working relationships through all levels incl.
