About the role
- Solvay Secured Network Team provides a complete and seamless set of network and security services, covering all Solvay industrial and non-industrial sites around the world (70 sites, including 40 plants, 5 Data Centers, Cloud services). The Secured Network Team is part of the Solvay Digital Technology Infrastructure team.
- The technical environment includes: Wifi, LAN, SD-WAN, SSE, Internet Access, Local Firewall, Central security for Remote and Cloud Access. All network and security operations are delivered by a Network Operation Center.
- The Global Security Network Engineer will be responsible for:
- Implementing and maintaining security tools and technologies, including firewalls, SASE, remote access solutions, authentication/authorization systems, and access controls.
- Designing and executing security projects to enhance security and detection capabilities.
- Collaborating with security architects and stakeholders involved in various projects.
- Defining technical design standards for Security and Network based on Solvay's policies.
- Managing technical resolutions during cyber incidents.
- Following up on cyber risk mitigation for the Secured Network scope.
- Supporting incident response efforts with the NOC and SOC, providing expertise on network security breaches.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations for network security.
- Developing and maintaining network security documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Staying updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies to recommend improvements.

About you
- Relevant degree or equivalent in Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Experience in Network Security Engineering or Global Network Management.
- Certifications in Palo Alto Network technology (On-prem Firewall, Prisma, SDWAN, Panorama, Strata).
- Expertise in designing and configuring advanced network security solutions.
- Deep knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, and ITIL processes.
- Extensive experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs across a global network.
- Proficiency with network security tools like Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet.
- Experience in risk assessments, penetration testing, vulnerability management.
- Skills in monitoring and analyzing network traffic with tools like Wireshark or SIEM platforms.
- Behaviors include proactive risk mitigation, attention to detail, adaptability, collaboration, accountability, and problem-solving skills.
