The position follows standard work methods and safe work habits to ensure product integrity.
**Job Duties:*** Assess the procedures of the production process, as well as inspecting and calibrating auditing tools.
* Verify against the master manufacturing records: blend number, components, weight, lot numbers to a batch at its critical points in the production process.
* Verify against the packaging records: purchase order, packaging components, raw materials, and signatures.
* Validate tote records.
* Assist quality assurance and production with products out of specification and non-conformance.
* Report any Food Safety issues to authorized personnel for correction.
* Prepare sample bins for production and testing folders for the lab.
* Compositing samples and preparing for further analysis.
* Check in and out of sanitary Scoops for sampling and production purposes.
* Clean, sanitize and autoclave Sanitary Scoops.
* Review production tailings, recording results, and bringing findings to management attention for evaluation.
* Dispose of laboratory retains.
* Fulfill Sample Requests as needed.
* Order laboratory supplies as needed.
* Act as back up to Laboratory Technicians.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following all safety processes and procedures as set forth by the company.
* Complete environmental sampling* Complete inhouse micro testing and interpreting results* Complete comping samples and sensory analysis* Maintain cleanliness of the laboratory area and clean it as necessary.
* Input laboratory data into excel spreadsheets and/or platforms.

***Qualifications:****Education Required:*** Required: High school diploma or GED.
* Preferred: One year of prior quality experience.
