We are looking for a Hardware Test Engineer (m/f/d) to join our the Embedded Electronics department part of our Innovation Team
In this role, you will be responsible for:
1. Evaluateing the hardware requirements, schematics, and PCB layout to define automated test cases for:
2. Development / Prototype tests
3. Type / Certification tests
4. Routine / Production tests
5. Defining acceptance criteria and measurement limits
6. Developing test interfaces in collaboration with the hardware design team
7. Creating test setups for automated test using lab instrumentation
8. Developing test jigs for after production tests
9. Developing automation scripts
10. Conducting functional integration tests
11. Develop software / firmware to interact with the system
12. Planning and following the certification process according to the railway standard EN50155:
13. Temperature
14. EMI/EMC
15. Shock and Vibration
16. Insulation
17. Writing technical documentation: Test Instructions and Test Reports
18. Evaluating testing effort and define tasks according to the project schedule
19. Reporting and coordinating tasks with the project manager and head of development
20. Supporting team members
We're looking for someone who has:
21. A degree in Electronics Engineering
22. 5 years of experience in automated hardware testing
23. Strong hardware debug skills
24. Experience with laboratory instrumentation (Oscilloscope, Source Meter, GPIO, Relays, Logic Analyzer, Frequency Generator and Counter, etc.)
25. Knowledge in test automation using Python or other text-based programming language
26. Strong knowledge of analog circuits (Op-Amps, PLL, ADC and DAC converters, etc.)
27. Knowledge of Power Electronics
28. Experience with microcontrollers and FPGA testing
29. Experience with standard serial interfaces (I2C, SPI, JTAG)
30. Knowledge of embedded programming languages (Assembly, C/C++, MicroPython)
31. Soldering capabilities
32. Fluent English speaker, German knowledge would be a plus
