Airbus Atlantic Portugal is currently recruiting for its site in Santo Tirso - Porto.
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for performing, strengthening, and improving day-to-day accounting activities. Responsibilities include establishing financial statements, ensuring monthly reporting, and closing processes.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Accounting and Closing Operations:
o Monitor the monthly closing process to ensure robustness.
o Oversee transactional activities (accounts payable, receivable, travel & expenses): invoice booking, payments, expense fees, disputes.
o Book accruals and manual postings.
o Create fixed assets in SAP.
o Check depreciation and payroll bookings.
o Ensure intercompany reconciliation.
o Verify accuracy of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
o Manage accounts receivable and payable statements and aging reports.
o Participate in inventories of assets and stocks.
o Maintain relationships with auditors.
o Provide consolidation files to the parent company: P&L, BS, and FCF.
2. Treasury & Funding Operations:
o Launch and monitor payment campaigns.
o Perform bank account reconciliations.
o Monitor local subvention files and group funding.
3. Internal Control:
o Ensure compliance with internal control principles.
o Apply and monitor the 4-eyes principle and segregation of duties.
4. Tax Compliance:
o Ensure tax compliance in collaboration with external advisors.
o Prepare and verify tax declarations, including VAT returns, EU Sales/Services list, withholding taxes, stamp tax, and others listed in the original description.
Profile and Skills Required:
* Degree/Master in Accounting, Management, or Economics.
* Experience in similar roles (>5 to 10 years); industry background is a plus.
* Valid Chartered Accountant certification.
* Proficiency in analytical accounting, MS Office (especially Excel), and SAP FI (mandatory).
* Strong logical reasoning and analytical skills.
* High responsibility, organization, and punctuality.

* Customer-oriented mindset.
* Fluent in English; French is a plus.
