Key Responsibilities
- Royalty Management:
- Oversee the accurate calculation and timely reporting of royalties to licensors including pre/post netting calculations and verifications.
- Coordinate with legal and commercial teams to ensure contract terms are reflected in royalty processes.
- Maintain audit trails and support internal/external audits.
- Ensure monthly accrual of Royalties and maintain forecasted spending.
- Post-Sales & Quality Financial Control:
- Ensure monthly accrual of warranty costs.
- Monitor and reconcile warranty provisions on the balance sheet, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Track and analyze repair costs and failure rates to identify trends and cost drivers.
- Support business in responding to customer requests (in case of epidemic failures or unusually high repair activity)
- Controlling & Reporting:
- Participate in monthly closings and reforecasting cycles
- Supervise and manage cash flows associated with warranties and royalties, ensuring payments are made according to agreed terms
- Contribute to product cost closing processes.
- Collaborate with global controlling teams on variance analysis and reporting templates.
- Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Work closely with finance, legal, sourcing, and operations teams across regions.
- Act as a liaison for external partners and internal stakeholders on royalty audits (Reported quantities, forecasted volumes, …).
- Legal: carefully examine warranty and license agreements to ensure financial compliance and accuracy of contractual terms
Perfil ideal
Required Skills & Qualifications
- University degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Strong background in financial controlling, ideally with exposure to royalty or licensing models.
- Experience with ERP systems and invoice processing workflows.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical capabilities.
- Proficiency in computer tools and financial management software.
