We are looking for an Accounting & Reporting Specialist to join an international company in Lisboa on a temporary assignment. This role will focus on end-to-end accounting, reporting, and compliance across European markets, with close interaction with internal stakeholders and external providers.
Description
Manage end-to-end accounting and reporting activities for assigned entities/markets
Ensure compliance with local regulations and group accounting policies
Prepare and review financial statements and supporting documentation
Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances
Support month-end and year-end closing processes
Ensure accurate tax and statutory reporting in coordination with external partners
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and shared service teams
Support internal and external audit processes
Contribute to process improvements and optimization initiatives
Profile
Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and reporting roles
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and controls
Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Ability to work in an international and matrix environment
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
Fluency in English (mandatory)
Italian language skills or exposure to the Italian market is a plus
