About the projectImpressit is looking for an AI Engineer (Trading Analytics & Data Engineering) to join a cross-functional Data & Analytics team.
This role focuses on building AI-powered analytics over market pricing and fundamentals data, designing scalable data pipelines, and partnering directly with traders and analysts to deliver fast, high-impact solutions.
You will work at the intersection of data engineering, statistical analysis, and LLM/agentic workflows to bring front office analytics to production.
This is a hands-on, high-velocity position working with large-scale trading data, modern AI tooling, and quantitative stakeholders.What you will doDesign and ship AI-driven analytics for front office use, including seasonality analysis, correlation, regression, forecasting, and scenario modellingBuild reusable, scalable data pipelines in Databricks, optimizing for cost, reliability, and performanceRun statistical and econometric analyses on large datasets, including market and fundamental time seriesCollaborate directly with traders and analysts to surface insights and deliver production-ready solutionsImplement LLM and agentic workflows with tool calling, retrieval, orchestration, and guardrailsProductionize solutions with proper testing, observability, versioning, and documentationWhat we expectStrong hands-on expertise in Databricks and Spark, including PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake, and Unity CatalogProven data engineering skills across ingestion, modelling, orchestration, and performance tuningSolid foundation in statistics, econometrics, or data science applied to market and fundamental time series dataExperience building and productionizing LLM solutions, including prompt engineering, retrieval, and agentic flows using LangGraph and MCP integrationsFamiliarity with CI/CD practices, Terraform, MLflow or feature stores, vector databases, and data governance (PII handling, data lineage)Excellent communication and stakeholder skillsAble to work directly on desk with traders and analysts, translate ambiguous questions into shippable solutions, and deliver at speedAs a plus- Background in commodity or financial trading- Familiarity with market microstructure, supply-demand fundamentals, or risk management conceptsReady to join the team?
