Lead Software Engineer – Mobile Apps Porto/Hybrid €65,000 - €75,000 + package Job moves are all about timing and now could not be a better opportunity to join our client as they set up their tech hub in Porto.
Currently, they operate as a globally distributed team but they're looking to centralise tech and build a productive and collaborative culture in Portugal.
Therefore, this role as Lead Software Engineer for mobile is a crucial role.
Their tech stack is built on React Native, TypeScript/JavaScript, Firebase and AWS... however if you've never worked with React Native before, it's not a problem.
They're looking for smart engineers – people who are problem solvers and proactive – rather than people who have x years with y.
What you can expect to be doing: You'll guide a small but skilled mobile squad who have a roadmap of exciting features that we can talk through Driving the evolution of their mobile app and CI/CD transformation You'll spend around somewhere between 30%-50% of your time hands-on coding, with the rest of your time driving best practice and being a motivator for the team Work with the QA team to build robust testing strategies Be a positive influence across the whole engineering function, not just the mobile team Of course, we're looking for people who can demonstrate expertise in React Native and/or Swift and Kotlin.
We're looking for people who can influence decision making and can work effectively in an English speaking environment.
In addition to a very competitive salary, there is an excellent package to back it up too - company bonus, health insurance, wellness budget and enhanced parental leave, and plenty more!
Given the investment in the Porto office, this will eventually be a hybrid role so someone willing to travel into the office for 2-3 days per week is required.
If you don't hit all of the markers above, we'd still encourage you to apply.
Attitude is a crucial element of this role and the best people don't always tick of all the boxes on a CV.
We're interviewing soon so please get in touch!
