Our Opportunity
We're looking to hire a new Operations Manager to join our Operations team, based at our facilities in Charneca de Caparica. You will be part of a young, international, and diverse team with expertise in chemistry, materials science, printing, electronics, product development, sales and marketing. As Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the company's operations in Portugal and Sweden, under the leadership of our Chief Operating Officer. You will essentially be the bridge between high-tech lab chemistry and large-scale industrial printing, focusing on scaling "magic" into a repeatable, profitable manufacturing process
The overarching goal of this position is to ensure the company's operations run smoothly and efficiently on a daily basis, by developing and optimizing processes and procedures that help the company meet or exceed customer expectations in a productive, efficient, cost effective, and timely manner. This includes continuously monitoring and identifying opportunities to improve the processes, tools, equipment, and systems used by Ynvisible's multidisciplinary teams. This role requires a highly hands-on professional with direct involvement in production processes, capable of identifying inefficiencies, implementing practical improvements, and scaling output, without compromising quality or delivery timelines.
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
* Ensure high quality high reliability end-to-end customer order fulfillment.
* Ensure production runs efficiently and cost-effectively, by driving process improvements to increase output, yield and operational performance.
* Manage the operational purchasing process, including direct contact with suppliers, issuing purchase orders, and tracking delivery timelines, ensuring adherence to quality, cost, and delivery standards.
* Coordinate logistics, packaging, and shipping activities for finished products, ensuring efficient deliveries that meet customer requirements.
* Support the implementation and improvement of supply chain processes, contributing to greater efficiency and cost reduction.
* Assist in stock and inventory management, ensuring timely organization, control, and data accuracy.
* Collaborate in operational quality control, identifying nonconformities and supporting the implementation of corrective actions.
* Implement and follow up on the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring its application in daily operations and actively contributing to the planned ISO certification in 2026.
* Support the management of facilities and infrastructure, ensuring smooth day to day operational functioning.
The Ideal Candidate
* University degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical, Materials, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field).
* Proven experience in industrial production environments, with broad knowledge of the production process from raw materials to finished products.
* Proven experience in industrial printing, coating and/or converting processes of flexible films, such as those used in Packaging, Labels and other printed products, is STRONGLY PREFERRED.
* Strong and demonstrated execution skills, with a hands on, results oriented approach.
* Excellent leadership abilities, with the capacity to coordinate operational teams and foster collaboration across different areas.
* Experience working in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments.
* Dynamic profile with a sense of urgency, autonomy, initiative, and a proactive attitude.
* Strong sense of responsibility, outstanding communication skills, and high adaptability and resilience in demanding environments.
* Excellent organizational and planning capabilities, attention to detail, and a strong focus on efficient problem solving.
* Fluency in English, both spoken and written (mandatory).
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
* International experience is valued, particularly through additional education or professional experience in industrial management or production management.
