Job Overview:
We are seeking a SQLServer DBA to join our growing team. As a SQLServer DBA, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our clients' databases, ensuring their optimal performance and availability. You will also play a key role in database design, development, and troubleshooting, working closely with our development and infrastructure teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain SQLServer databases to ensure optimal performance and availability
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions
- Perform database backups and disaster recovery procedures
- Develop and implement database security and access controls
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to design and optimize databases for performance and scalability
- Create and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions
- Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and trends and make recommendations for improvement
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a SQLServer DBA
- Strong knowledge of SQLServer database administration, including backup and recovery, performance tuning, and security
- Experience with database design and development, including stored procedures, triggers, and indexes
- Familiarity with database monitoring tools and techniques
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with other database technologies, such as Oracle or MySQL, is a plus
Contract Details:
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Lisbon, Portugal. The salary and benefits package will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
