Job Overview
The Manufacturing Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring production and quality of the product in compliance with procedures. This includes managing their station, complying with standard production rates, helping to remove and install peripheral devices, detecting and solving problems common to their job, and developing versatility and remaining versatile to work on several product families.
This role involves controlling the quality of their production by performing reworks, analyzing the causes of non-conformity and proposing solutions, and detecting complex problems associated with their job and implementing actions required to solve them.
In addition, the Manufacturing Operations Specialist must ensure the conformity and cleanliness of their work area by cleaning their stations, checking the conformity of their workstation before starting production, and performing level 1 maintenance.
This role also requires collaboration with the Production Team to ensure correct operation. This includes making suggestions, helping to implement them, developing their versatility and multi-skills, taking part in working groups and progress meetings, and complying with rules and 5S standards.
The Manufacturing Operations Specialist is also responsible for communicating required information to the production team by attending team meetings, notifying the process leader or manager in the event of a fault or potential problem, and ensuring that instructions are communicated to the next shift team's operator.
This position requires manual dexterity to assemble, operate, adjust and inspect, near vision to handle small parts and detect visual defects, normal color vision and depth perception capability, ability to take direction from others, communication skills to work effectively in a team environment, reading and basic math comprehension to understand and interpret training guides, standard operating procedures and quality information, and to complete production reports.
