P Electronics Service Engineer – Portugal p A Field Service Engineer is responsible for the service, installations, commissioning and maintenance for vessels safety, communications, and navigation systems.
The FSE task if to make sure that any technical problem is analysed for fault, solutions is provided when necessary, equipment is repaired in a timely manner.
/pp Responsibilities /pulli Carrying out installation and commissioning, integrating and testing existing and new products on board or at shore.
/lili Carrying out maintenance and repair of equipment on customers#39; vessels.
/lili Providing technical support to customers and the company#39;s sales, other engineer and/or customer service.
/lili Able to perform surveys and inspections of ship radio communications and radio navigational installations.
/lili Be available for reasonable amounts of out-of-hours service work, sometimes at short notice.
Overtime is payable for this.
/lili Complete all documentation in a timely manner.
/li /ulp Requirements /pulli Education and experience in Marine Electronics and/or Electronic Engineering.
/lili Experience in the service industry as well as in-depth knowledge of the wider maritime community is essential.
/lili Experience of practical fault-finding on complex equipment, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
/lili Being flexible and adaptable to ships schedules/jobs.
/lili To have communication skills to communicate with other parties as Coordinators, Agents, Crews, Captains, and Superintendents.
