Purpose
1. As Category Buyer, you are responsible for the negotiation and contractualization of long-term agreements with Strategic Partners as identified in the Category strategy, with the main objective of increasing SBM competitiveness and security of supply.
Responsibilities
2. You support the Category Manager or Senior Category Buyer in the effective management strategic suppliers. Monitor vendor's financial data, load level, capacity and investment plans. Perform Market analysis
3. You ensure that commercial agreements match projects and operations needs and bring benefits such as simplification, competitive prices, manufacturing slots reservation.
4. You Embark lesson learnt into vendor commercial improvement monitoring.
5. You deliver Frame Agreement as per defined contracting plan on target as defined in the Category Strategy.
6. You support the negotiation with suppliers for packages / services in your area, as required, using benchmark and cost breakdown models, bringing TCO parameters into the equation
7. You support Project & Operations teams when the relationship with the vendor is at risk (e.g. dispute & claims resolution, manufacturing performance, slot allocation)
8. You measure the contracted savings from the implementation of the category strategy and other relevant SC KPIs for the category.
9. You Measure, Monitor and Report KPIs as required
10. On an ad-hoc basis, you issue Purchase Orders for key scopes
Education
11. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
Experience
12. Previous experience in procurement or supply chain management within the oil and gas industry.
13. Commercial Acumen.
14. Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and market research.
15. Good communication and problem-solving skills.
16. Market knowledge for the targeted products
17. Knowledge in Total Cost of Ownership methodology
18. Understanding of Cost Breakdown models
19. Good understanding of the products in your category in liaison with technical stakeholders
