Job Description
As a Communications Officer, you will play a pivotal role in elevating the organisation's visibility and credibility as a thought leader in education reform. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement a comprehensive branding strategy that showcases the organization's expertise and impact.
You will work closely with programme teams to create engaging content that highlights the organisation's achievements and thought leadership in education reform. This will involve managing institutional branding and multi-platform communication strategies to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms and outputs.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and executing communication plans for programmes, initiatives, and events;
* Building and maintaining relationships with media houses, education journalists, and thought platforms;
* Coordinating press releases, op-eds, and media features that project the organisation's reform impact;
* Supporting the CEO and programme leads in preparing public statements, speeches, and presentations;
* Translating technical or policy information into clear, engaging content;
* Digital communication skills (social media strategy, web management, content creation tools);
* Experience working with donor-funded programmes, government partners, or NGOs is desirable.
